Background
Having been in the Construction Industry all of his life, Shaun’s world has been surrounded with straight lines and level surfaces. However, his life changed almost overnight when he discovered his artistic flair using the medium of wood.
Now almost everything is seen in a different light, and, like most artists, gets inspiration from nature. Nature has a very large influence on his work, but there are also many other things that show in his work..
Almost every object he encounters he studies the shape and texture, from a manhole in the street to the natural sponges of the sea. All these items have some sort of influence on his work, and these inspirational thoughts can be seen many of his pieces.
Using texture and colour Shaun endeavours to enhance each piece of his work to show it's form and natural beauty.
Inspiration is everywhere - you just need to see it!
