Background

The colourful jewellery by Misha Seelhoff is a result of a life-long obsession with colour and a creative urge to make things. Patterns that were inspired by plants, flowers, landscape, etc., become abstracted during the creative process, resulting in work that is unique and colourful.

The artwork is painted on aluminium which has been anodized, which allows dyes and inks to become locked into the surface by heat after painting is complete. The artwork is then carefully considered, and shapes marked, cut, filed and polished before the finishing touches like beads, etc., are added.

Misha is originally from California but has made her home in England for almost 30 years now.
