Jack Beaumont
Narrative Jeweller
Background
Jack Beaumont is a silversmith and narrative jeweller living in rural Somerset, his studio nestling under a group of aged beech trees. He trained at art school in the mid 1970s and has been working on and off as a maker since then. He calls himself a narrative jeweller as his pieces all have a tale to tell and he draws from his other background as a storyteller to provide a narrative to each piece.
He also draws inspiration from his surroundings and love of Somerset, the Mendip hills and the Levels being two of his favourite places.
He works in silver and uses traditional handmade skills to create his work wherever possible. He loves all nature (he shares his -studio space with a family of hedgepigs and a blackbird named 'Mealworm Maurice' ) and this features in his work a lot, Jack only makes one-off pieces as he wants his clients to have something that no one else has.
He loves to make BIG statement pieces that have real presence, he makes work for a range of audiences.
