Background

Ingrid Johannesson has worked with clay for the past 25 years, but is constantly learning more about the wonderful world of clay and ceramics. 

She has a home studio in Bath, where she works most days, creating sculptures that first emerge in her mind and which then find their way out through her hands, into the clay. Coil work and slab work are her favourite techniques, with additional carving into leather-hard clay bringing much joy.

Ingrid is a qualified art teacher, and has a very keen interest in a variety of other crafts, and photography.
