David Appleby
Woodturner
Background
The woods Dave Appleby uses are almost entirely from recycled and sustainable sources. Some have been rescued from the log pile or from local farms and gardens. Inspired by organic forms and natural surroundings he allows the beauty of the wood to suggest the shape and purpose of the piece. In addition to exhibiting in galleries in the Southwest of England he takes commissions for special items and offers 1 to 1 tuition at his workshop.
